School is reopening on Tuesday, January 25th, day 5 on our schedule.  School cafeteria services will not be available until Monday January 31st.   Students will be expected to bring recess snacks and a packed lunch for this current week. It is imperative that all students comply with the mask wearing initiative in all areas of the school and while on the bus. Masks may only be removed for eating and or drinking while sitting in a designated eating location.   Online learning will no longer be taking place, if your child is absent please make contact with the subject teacher for any work that they may need.  Students are also asked to bring their Chromebooks and charging cords to school. District Memo

We will be deploying the rapid test kits to our student population based on  last names of students .  To avoid congestion and to adhere to social distancing protocols this will be done in the  school gymnasium .  Please make sure you are wearing a mask and enter the school through the rear entrance by the gym.  Each student will receive 5 rapid test kits and family members/students are permitted to pick up test kits for friends in their bubble.  We will be recording who received the kits in our database. Please make every effort to retrieve the kits for your child.  See attached memo “ Rapid Screening Program ”, for information on how to utilize the rapid test kits.   Hi Everyone: Happy New Year A few things regarding the startup on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. 1.  Online learning begins but no students will be attending inside the building on Tuesday, January 4, Day 4.  2. Students are expected to follow the Powerschool Schedule and Bell Schedule for classes.  A link to our school calendar, bell schedule and powerschool portal can be found at the end of this message. 3. Students are to login to the google classroom for each course where the teacher will communicate with them for all classes.  Each class will start with video conferencing using Google Meet, the teacher will take attendance and provide instructions for the remainder of the class.  The learning activities will vary based on the teacher’s instructional style and course outcomes.  4.  If you have any questions about google classroom and course content please contact the teacher.  Any questions regarding chromebooks please contact Geoffrey Seymour, geoffreyseymour@nlesd.ca .
