 Meet the Teacher Night for Carbonear Collegiate has been moved to Monday, September 26 starting at 6:30 PM.

There is no school on Monday, September 19 because of the National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.  We will be skipping Day 2 on the schedule, when we return to classes on Tuesday, September 20 it will be Day 3.

Mrs. Evelyn Hoskinson was a much loved staff member at Carbonear Collegiate for over 30 years. She was the boss. There were many administrators at Carbonear Collegiate, but she was a constant. She could name almost all the students in our building, and most of their parents too.  She loved to share stories about her family, especially her granddaughter Emma. She had many animated chats with staff about moose hunting. She loved a good lunch and a cup of tea. But mostly in our school she loved her job. She was a dedicated school secretary, and one of the hardest working people that we have known.   Tuesday, September 6: Admin Day for Teachers only Bell Schedule:   8:58 warning bell 9:00 Period 1 10:00 Period 2 11:00 Recess 11:18 warning bell 11:20 Period 3 12:20 Period 4 1:20 Lunch 1:58 warning bell 2:00 Period 5 3:00 Dismissal   Busing:   Bus Routes and School Transportation Portal .   Wednesday, September 7: Session 1: Grade 9 and 10 students (9:00 AM to 11:00 AM) Session 2: Grade 11 and 12 students (1:00 PM -  3:00 PM) Buses for the afternoon session will begin the run at 12:00 PM. (3 hour delay from the normal route start) A recess break will be provided during both sessions but please note that there will be no cafeteria services so students are asked to bring snacks. Regular cafeteria services will start on Monday, September 12th. Thursday, September 8: Regular classes for all students, Day 2 on schedule. No cafeteria services. Friday, September 9: Regular classes for all students, Day 3 on schedule. No cafeteria services.
