School Startup Information - September 2022

 Welcome to Carbonear Collegiate, here is some important information for students and family members:

1. New Transfers:  New students and family members will be processed on Thursday, September 1, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM at the school.  Enter the school via the rear entrance by the gym.  Ms Anne Corbett and Ms Christa Dwyer, our school guidance counsellors, will assist you.  To facilitate the process please complete and print the student data form before you arrive and bring it with you.  Copies of the forms can be picked up at the school office between 9 AM and 3 PM.

2. International Students:  International students will be received on Monday, September 12 @ 10:00 AM.

3. Grade 9 / Returning Students:  Mr Seymour will be sending out voice and email messages with details about school startup later this week.  As we finalize the schedule we will post the this school webpage.

4. School Supply List: Most important is for all students to bring their chromebooks every day and ensure they are fully charged.   All teachers use chromebooks for their instruction, this is the most important item on the supply list. We do not provide a comprehensive school supply list as the needs are quite different between subjects and teachers.  In general, we recommend exercise books for each subject, a good supply of pencils and pens, a scientific calculator, etc..
