Doorways Program Information

DoorWays Counselling Services, Mental Health and Addictions Services

DoorWays Counselling Services is a program of NL Health Service’s Mental Health and Addictions Services that provides rapid access to counselling services ‘one session at a time’ and is offered throughout Rural Avalon. Persons interested in receiving mental health and addictions services can now access support without an appointment or referral, and perhaps best of all – without a wait time!

DoorWays services at the school will be provided by Ms. Wendy Cranford, Mental Health Counsellor and Ms. Lori Mercer, Addictions Counsellor on a bi-weekly basis starting on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023. DoorWays sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to consult with the Ms. Anne Corbett or Ms. Christa Dwyer, school counselors, to express their interest in attending the clinic.
